Nichola Djurasevich
Director of Finance & Corporate Services
Nichola is Maxispan’s Director of Finance & Corporate Services. With over twenty years’ experience in finance and operations, Nichola has worked across industries including, manufacturing, property, healthcare and technology. Having held prior CFO / COO roles, Nichola is experienced in strategic planning, corporate & financial governance, process improvement and focusing on aligning operational strategy with business objectives.
Fun Fact: As a teenager, Nichola had a pet cow called D’Artagnan.

James Farrer
Operations Manager
With over 22 years in the steel frame industry and 12 dedicated to Maxispan, James Farrer serves as Operations Manager, bringing both expertise and passion for team development to his role. Holding certifications in Leadership and Management and in Competitive Systems and Practices, James has played a vital role in building a skilled, committed team across Sales, Drafting, Production, Scheduling, and Installation—an achievement he values greatly.
James is most motivated by watching his team grow and reach their career goals, taking pride in fostering a collaborative, supportive environment. He’s spent over five years coaching basketball, instilling teamwork in young players. A supporter of the Adelaide 36ers, James values teamwork both on and off the court, believing that success is achieved collectively.
James is modest about his achievements, preferring to let his team and their accomplishments speak for themselves.
Fun Fact: He’s a keen fisherman and can ensure his family will never go hungry!

Cameron Zofio
Estimator/ Account Manager
Cam is Maxispan’s Estimator/Account Manager. Cam has been with Maxispan for 6.5 years, first starting off installing Maxispan’s light-gauge steel frame system and then transitioning to an Estimator as an entry-level position, and now being a Senior Estimator and Account Manager.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for building strong working relationships with Maxispan’s clients, Cam strives to provide exceptional service, accuracy and success to every project
Fun Fact: He has an Advanced Diploma in Commercial Photography!

Mallinath Chipalkatti
Job Scheduler & RTW Coordinator
Mallinath Chipalkatti is Maxispan’s Job Scheduler & Estimator. He holds a master’s degree in construction management and brings 1.5 years of industry experience supporting estimating, production, and installation teams. Known for ensuring smooth project scheduling and prompt customer service, Mallinath is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes through effective coordination and clear communication.
Fun Fact: Malli has never met a dance floor he couldn’t dominate.

Jon Hyams
Finance Manager
Jon is Maxispan’s dedicated and very experienced Finance Manager, who has worked for over 25 years in senior roles in a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, wholesaling, construction, insurance, aged care, property management, and infrastructure. Jon’s experience has been accumulated in a variety of organisations including public companies, SMEs, a NFP entity, and government instrumentalities. Jon is a long standing member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Jon’s role includes gross profit management and analysis, credit risk management, cash flow management, payroll & HR management, management reporting, budgeting & re-forecasting, business strategy, statutory reporting & compliance, process improvements, bank reporting & liaison, and insurance risk management.
Fun Fact: He is an avid cricket fan and ex-player (many years ago!) and has a fascination for cricket statistics.

Justin Green
Site Supervisor
Justin is Maxispan’s Site Supervisor with 25 years of experience in the building industry, specialising in light gauge steel framing. He holds both builder and subcontractor licences, bringing a wealth of knowledge to every project.
Justin communicates effectively with installers, builders, and contractors to resolve site issues swiftly and efficiently, ensuring that frame installations are completed on time and compliant. His skills in organising, liaising, networking, and problem-solving are key to delivering successful results.
With an energetic, positive mindset and a dedication to his work, Justin is an enthusiastic and approachable team member.
Fun Fact: He can spin a basketball on every finger!

Darryl McPharlin (Dazza)
Shift Leader / Supervisor
With 15 years of industry experience, Darryl, known as Dazza, is Maxispan’s Shift Leader and Supervisor. His role involves overseeing the production floor, ensuring machines are running efficiently and safely, allocating labour, and organising overtime with the production team. Darryl also manages machine files, logs attendance, and keeps production running at 100% capacity, always leading by example.
Starting at Maxispan screwing framing, Darryl worked his way up to become a Supervisor and Shift Leader, celebrating 10 years of service. His leadership, enthusiasm, and positive attitude drive the team’s success on the floor.
Armed with a forklift licence, first aid officer certification, and on-the-job training, Darryl maintains a high standard of excellence. He takes pride in his work, always striving to go above and beyond while supporting his family.
Fun Fact: He’s known for whistling in the troops when needed!

Nicholas Michailov
Logistics / Dispatch
With 17 years of experience, Nicholas oversees logistics and dispatch at Maxispan, ensuring the safe and efficient preparation of all Maxispan products for delivery. His role includes forklift operation, machine product manufacturing, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Nicholas has hit significant milestones during his career, celebrating his 7 and 10-year anniversaries at Maxispan. His extensive knowledge of truck loading guidelines, road regulations, and slinging (dogman) skills, paired with over 15 years of confident forklift operation, allow him to work efficiently under pressure and ensure smooth operations.
Known for his punctuality, efficiency, and commitment to safety, Nicholas is always ahead of tasks, allowing room for better planning, organisation, and communication. His contributions help maintain a strong flow of products and foster an environment of enthusiasm and teamwork at Maxispan.
Fun Fact: He can pick up a 5-cent piece with forklift tynes!
