- Prepare pricing proposals/quotations that incorporate final figures for estimated cost, including adjustments for overheads and required profit ratios.
- Ensure all changes, revisions and/or variations are documented and entered into the system and communicated to customers
- Work closely with and assist Pre-Production team to ensure that they receive accurate documentation to enable appropriate ordering, acquisition, and delivery of materials.
- Prepare Picking Lists from completed framing plans and ensure any variations or omissions that are identified are promptly communicated to management.
- Prepare Purchase Orders for Installation Contractors in a timely and accurate manner.
- Update relevant databases to ensure records of all quote activity are accurate and up to date.
- Tertiary/TAFE qualification in Estimating Cert IV or equivalent
- A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Ability to read building plans and specifications and prepare take offs of quantities and numbers.
- Knowledge of building materials and ability to follow process and ability to adapt to change.

- Using your expertise in light gauge steel framing and design drafting principles relevant to residential construction
- Collaborating with various teams, including sales, production, estimating, customers, and installation contractors, to ensure effective communication and coordination.

- Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications based on sketches, notes, and other input from architects or engineers.
- Checking and amending drafting work to ensure technical accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Using your proficiency in CAD-based software to create precise and comprehensive design drawings.
- Leveraging your experience with FrameCAD software (preferred) to enhance design processes.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs meet specifications and standards
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary measurements and assess project requirements
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members and clients
- Stay up-to-date on building codes and regulations to ensure compliance in designs
- Maintain and organize project files, including drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
- Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and updates
- We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A minimum of 2 years working experience
- Qualifications in design drafting, architecture, structural detailing, structural engineering or other relevant qualifications.
- Experience in light gauge steel framing and architectural drafting or structural detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally, experience with FrameCAD software and/or Tekla Structures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across teams.
- A meticulous mindset and the ability to maintain elevated levels of accuracy.
- Experience in detailing structural steel is preferred and will be part of the training in this role.
